10. College Copyright Policy

It is the Policy of Seneca College to facilitate access to print, visual, virtual and electronic resources to further academic teaching/learning and operational objectives in accordance with current legislation, agreements and relevant policies.

10.1 Copyright Offenses

Seneca College, its employees and students are responsible for adhering to all federal and provincial laws/regulations, and to all College agreements and policies, and can be held liable for non-compliance.

Copying, or the distribution of Copyright protected works, beyond the limits outlined in legislation, agreements or policies, or the creation of unauthorized derivative works (e.g. editing a copyright protected photograph, abridgments, translations, etc.) without permission, constitute copyright infringement and academic penalties may be applied.
