Annie Howell (TIA '85)

Annie Howell

Annie is the executive vice president of corporate communications & media relations for Crown Media Family Networks, home of Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movie Channel. Based in the company's New York office, Annie is the primary spokesperson for the networks, providing strategic guidance to all Crown executives and is responsible for directing the full scope of Crown Media’s communications and public relations strategies.

During her career in communications, she has held a variety of positions at Discovery Communications, Powell Tate, and Ogilvy & Mather Public Affairs.

Her honours and awards include CableFax Magazine’s Most Powerful Women in Cable list, PR Person of the Year (CableFax Magazine), and PR Week Consumer Launch Campaign of the Year.

Barbara Weeden (ORT '85)

Barbara Weeden

In April 2012, after 23 years of Service to Seneca, Barbara joined Tim Hortons Children's Foundation. She is now the General Manager of Onondaga Farms in St. George, ON (just south of Cambridge), the largest of the six Tim Hortons children's camps

She is an avid outdoors person, volunteer and fundraiser—at Seneca and externally. Her leadership has been acknowledged by the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario and the Council of Outdoor Educators of Ontario.

At Seneca, Barbara also led the creation of the King Environmental Group and represents Seneca on environmental committees in King Township.

Kathleen Watson (LCD '85)

Kathleen Watson

Over the last 30 years, Kathleen has held a number of positions within Sears Canada Inc. including Resources Protection (Loss Prevention), Internal Audit and Store Operations. In that time, she has had the opportunity to see most of Canada, including some very rural and remote areas. Kathleen has also earned a CFE designation and sits on the Board of Directors for the Toronto Chapter of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.

  

Angela Stone (LIT '85)

Angela Stone

Angela is a volunteer with the DAR Museums, Education Department and Montgomery County Historical Society Library and Archives. In addition to her Seneca education, she graduated on the Dean's List with a 3.64 average from Athabasca University's Bachelors in General Studies (Arts and Science) in 2014. Angela is currently enrolled in Dalhousie University's MIM graduate program, expected to graduate in 2017.

  

Cheryl McArdle (CRM '85)

Cheryl joined Loblaw Companies Ltd. in 2003 and is currently the Health and Beauty Manager at the Real Canadian Superstore in Whitby. She is a proud graduate of the Cosmetic Retail Management program at Seneca.

During her 25 year career in the cosmetics industry, Cheryl also worked at the Hudson’s Bay Company as a Cosmetic Counter Manager and a Cosmetic Supervisor.

Cheryl is married with two children and resides in Oshawa.

Sylvia Buckingham (ACC '85)

Sylvia Buckingham

After receiving her Accounting diploma at Seneca, Sylvia worked at several corporations in the accounting field. She returned to Seneca to complete a business management program while working as a supervisor in a police service.

In 2006, Sylvia completed a Healthcare Administration certificate program through the Ontario Hospital Association while working in the healthcare industry. She then continued her education part-time at Seneca and in August, 2009 she received a Human Resources Management certificate while working in the banking industry.

Since February, 2011 she have been working for York Regional Police in their Compensation, Benefits and Scheduling Unit in Human Resources. Sylvia has been married for over 20 years and has a daughter attending the University of Guelph, completing a Bachelor of Arts and Science in Microbiology and Psychology and a son attending Memorial University in Newfoundland completing a Bachelor of Arts in Policing and a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology.
