Piyush Gandhi (AFT '93)
Piyush is the Director of Flight Operations for Porter Airlines, where he oversees 550 staff members including pilots, flight attendants, crews, scheduling, training, administration and operations. He has also served as Porter’s Chief Pilot. Previously, he was a First Officer, Captain and Chief Pilot with Bombardier, where he created the Bombardier Flight Operations Steering Committee.
Piyush was one of the first to test the Q400 aircraft, and he was chosen to fly Queen Elizabeth across Ontario during her 2010 visit to Canada. He is a graduate of Seneca College’s Aviation and Flight program and serves on the program’s program advisory committee.
Brett Kemp (LCD '93)
Brett is a Patrol Sergeant and Front-line supervisor for York Regional Police and a graduate of Seneca’s Law Enforcement program. He has been serving York Region for close to 15 years, starting his career as a constable and being promoted through the ranks to Detective in charge of the Hate Crime Unit, fulfilling a childhood dream of becoming a detective.
Brett is recognized for establishing an often duplicated hate crime unit operating model which involves a strong communication, awareness, education, and community outreach component and celebrates diversity and differences in others.
Lori O’Toole (LAW '93)
Lori is an Associate Advisor with REDD Knights Group Incorporated. RKG is a strategic, quality and value driven advisory firm specializing in: Security Management, Emergency Preparedness (including Pandemic Planning) Business Continuity Life Safety, and Project Management.
Early in her career, Lori was the Manager of Security for the Toronto Dominion Centre, one of Canada’s largest commercial and retail towers. Her performance led her to the position of Senior Manager for Security and Life Safety for Cadillac Fairview’s Ontario Portfolio and gained the breadth and depth of her expertise.
Lori joined Redd Knights and has applied her expertise across a broad spectrum of security environments from commercial towers and retail malls to industrial and educational facilities. Lori’s expertise in advanced security and emergency preparedness has consistently delivered tangible business benefits with measureable results.
Ross Emerson (IBS '93)
Ross is a globally focused business performance coach and consultant. He works with senior professionals in corporations, entrepreneurs, and private clients to develop their leadership capabilities so they can succeed and achieve their business performance goals.
During a successful career in financial services spanning over 25-years, Ross received the 2013 and 2014 RBC Private Banking VP Gold Award given to the top 2 private banking sales leaders across Canada. In 2011, Ross won the Barclays Chairman’s award for Individual Contribution for the Monaco office and in 2009, Ross won the Barclays Chairman’s award for Individual Contribution for the Europe region.
Ross also worked in the not-for-profit sector from 2002-2007 and was part of the World Youth Day Toronto team organizing the visit of Pope John Paul II to Toronto. In addition, Ross has actively volunteered for philanthropic causes and has served on the boards of two UK charities, as well as on the board for the Canadian Centre for Diversity.
Jim Carr (RTV '93)
Since graduating, Jim has stuck with his Seneca roots. He has been teaching for over 20 years and received the position of coordinator for Seneca’s Radio Broadcasting program.
