Class of 1999

Suzanne Price (CES '99)

Suzanne Price

Suzanne is a co-ordinator with the School of Media and Marketing at our Seneca@York campus. Suzanne has done just about everything at Seneca. Along with her extensive career, she has also served as a faculty member, academic advisor, curriculum developer, program co-ordinator, professional development instructor and donor.

In 2007, Suzanne established the “Synergy Media Studios Award,” a bursary that provides financial assistance to graduates of Seneca’s Media and Communications Fundamentals program. As well, she serves as a mentor to students in many other Seneca programs.

Yoshiaki Ito (REF '99)

Yoshiaki Ito

Yoshiaki travelled from Japan to Saskatoon in 1998 to study English. With a keen passion for design, his professor suggested that he should study in the Floral Design Program at Seneca. Yoshiaki had also received the same advice about Seneca's program from the AIFD (American Institute of Floral Designers) so his decision to enrol was clear.

He enjoyed all his classes, and fondly remembers one of his professors, Norman Disch, who gave him many opportunities to create arrangements for special projects and to complete placements with various florists in the GTA.

The placement opportunities he had, combined with many student awards, gave Yoshiaki the confidence to run his current floral retail business in Tokyo. In addition, Yoshiaki creates floral installations for corporate clients, including a high end restaurant where he combines his artistry with food presentation.

Yoshiaki is often invited to be a guest lecturer at various floral shops and conferences in Japan. He appreciates the fact that the Seneca Floral Design program combines business and art.

Robin Harding (HRM '99)

Robin Harding

After graduating, Robin went on to complete an MBA with a focus in HR, and a Management of Volunteers certificate, just for fun. Robin holds CHRL, SPHR and SHRM-SCP designations, and has worked in an HR capacity in both the professional services and not-for-profit sectors. She is currently the office manager for a law firm in Hamilton and spends her free time with her two fabulous little boys and supportive husband, and volunteers with Girl Guides of Canada.
