Alexandra Furlong (MKA '01)
Alexandra has 10 years of experience in marketing, communications and pursuit management in both the profit and not-for-profit sectors. Her responsibilities include proposal management for multi-million dollar projects, liaison between Delcan, sub-consultants and clients during the proposal phase and proposal production. She also designs and creates presentations, reports and other marketing materials.
Alexandra has obtained her Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI). In addition, she has her Bachelor of Arts in communication studies from York University, her diploma in marketing administration from Seneca College and her public relations post-graduate certificate from Ryerson University.
Matthew McIver (ILT '01)
Since graduating from Seneca, Matthew has worked in a number of fields related to computer graphics and produced some of the first flash based videos and 3D animations for web display. After a number of years as a freelance 3D generalist he started teaching, eventually landing at Dawson College in Montreal in a 3D animation program. Over the past few years at the college, Matthew has seen many graduates successfully transition into the feature film and video game industries working on top titles. Matthew has also continued to work in freelance for corporate clients such as Pfizer and Mega Blocks.
Matthew’s professors at Seneca proved to be the role models that he follows today. Seneca taught him to keep active professionally, stay dedicated to his craft and his students, and be a catalyst for students to become successful professionals. As a result, many of his students have expressed a similar interest in teaching.
Heather Kaminski (AVP '01)
Upon completion of Seneca’s AVP program, Heather began volunteering with production companies, growing her love for film. She has utilized and enhanced her skills working in the film and television industry and ventured out into administrative work in the health and medical sectors. She is also a graduate of the Law Clerk program at Algonquin College and done some work in government, customer service and retail oriented positions. Heather has also continued to volunteer at special events, such as Bluesfest, and with the Make-A-Wish foundation.
Heather splits her time between Ottawa and Toronto. When she’s not working, she enjoys a variety of social scenes and city life, indulging in films or being with friends and family. Her hobbies include online gaming, Xbox, board games, Cards Against Humanity, animals and the outdoors.
Vania Gonzales (BCS '01)
Since graduating from Seneca, Vania has held several positions in IT. Currently, she is a Portfolio Manager with the Ministry of Environment & Climate Change. Her responsibilities include supporting the intake of maintenance items through the governance process, inclusive of IT projects. She partners closely with business partners to analyze new projects for business readiness, governance decisions and provides transparency of portfolio sequencing and investments.
Vania has also completed the Leadership certificate at Seneca and is currently pursuing her Project Management Professional designation.
