“My award helped me follow my passions in life and be the difference I want to see in the world.”
– Laura Banfield, Bachelor Child Development, 2015
Laura Banfield made the most of her Seneca education. Laura completed her Bachelor of Child Development degree this summer. While she was studying hard, Laura also followed her passion to make the world a better place.
Laura launched Blanketing Toronto – a not-for-profit, which distributes blankets, scarves, gloves and other warm clothing to homeless people in Toronto. Blanketing Toronto has distributed more than 5,000 blankets, items of warm clothing and food since 2013.
Laura knows how to make a difference!
Because of the generosity of alumni and friends, Laura received a scholarship during her time at Seneca. This financial support helped her focus on her studies and on her passion. Right now, she’s studying for a master’s degree in her field. And, of course, she’s making Toronto and the world a better place.
Every year, many students leave before completing their studies. Financial difficulties are a factor for many of those students. When a student leaves Seneca, they lose the opportunities our education provides. Every Seneca alum knows what a life-changing loss that could be.
Your gift – whatever you can give – can be the difference between Seneca students having to leave or completing their education. Please give now.
