Radio grads find success at local station

Mocha Frap and Kayla Pappaianni are two familiar names and on-air hosts of the radio station KiSS 92.5. Before becoming household names, the two attended and graduated from Seneca’s Broadcasting – Radio Program.

Mocha, who just celebrated his 20-year career anniversary in radio, knew he wanted to be on-air at 16. After garnering years of radio experience through promotions and an unpaid internship in New York, Mocha graduated in 1999 and landed a DJ gig for KiSS. He soon advanced to an on-air contributor role and now co-hosts KiSS’s Roz & Mocha show.

A media and pop culture pro, Kayla spent nine years in postsecondary education completing a list of programs including: Seneca’s Pre-Media and Journalism programs and a Bachelor’s Degree in social science at York University. She returned to Seneca for the Broadcasting – Radio Program and interned at the station for three months in 2016. Kayla now works at the station overnights and for the morning show, and is a “swing” presenter and a content provider for the web.
