Recurring kindness among employees

One of the goals for the 2015 Campaign for Students—Seneca’s annual employee giving appeal—was to increase participation and raise awareness about the various ways to support students.

Those, like Tina Perricone and Philip Lui, have discovered how easy it is to make ongoing gifts through payroll deduction. Tina, a Project Manager with the Office of Research and Innovation, started giving last year, while Philip, Manager of Seneca’s Vision Clinic, has been making gifts for the past four years.

“I love to help,” says Philip. “If we all put in a little effort, we can make a big difference.”

The Campaign for Students recently concluded, with $95,000 raised for various scholarships and bursaries. This year’s campaign saw more than 151 donors give through payroll deduction.

“I remember what it was like to be a student,” says Tina. “The Campaign for Students is an important cause, and it makes me happy to help others.”
