OLP302 - Living Green Infrastructure

For planners, policy makers and developers. Covers integrated natural solutions called low impact development (LID) and living green infrastructure (GI). Current problems with solutions that are made in isolation along budget categories do not meet sustainable solutions. You will e introduced to sustainable technologies and best management practices throughout the planning, constructing and maintenance phases of land development. Topics include: ecological impacts of development, water catchment and use, stormwater management, waste management, urban forestry, food security, environment and community health.
