Systems thinking examines problems in the context of a larger focus that reveals connections to the situation that must be considered if the solution is to be sustainable, so that problems do not recur but stay fixed. A wide-angle thinking lens is but just one of many teaching tools introduced in the course to view problem situations that transcend the limitations of specialist knowledge, thereby evolving situations over time to generate unexpected consequences. For decision makers, planners community leaders, teachers, parents, mentors, and those just looking for ways to do things differently.
