CGC310 - Clothing Construction III

This subject outlines the industrial approach constructing sportswear. A series of samples will be demonstrated by the professor and produced by the students. Excellence in workmanship and a thorough understanding of the sewing order will be emphasized. A garment will be produced as a final project.

DSW315 - Fashion Design III

Fashion Design III is a study of contemporary fashion design.  Students will design for specific market categories.  Emphasis is also placed  on inspiration, creativity and illustration, and presentation techniques..

KND362 - Knitwear Design: Cut and Sew

Knitwear Design I introduces students to the design and construction of knitted garments. Emphasis will be used in the patternmaking, shaping, styling and construction techniques used in the knitwear design industry. This course explores the necessary strategies for development of knitwear ideas for apparel. Students will apply this knowledge to produce knitwear samples and garments.

PMW310 - Pattern Making for Sportswear

Pattern Making Ill builds on the skills learned in Pattern Making II. This subject practices pattern-making skills needed for sportswear. Students will practice these skills by producing full-scale patterns to reflect technical drawings of their original design. This course introduces basic tailored silhouettes and notched collars.

TXF313 - Textiles II

Textiles II is a continuation of Textiles I. In Textiles II the students will analyze various manufactured fibers with reference to care and suitability, and end use. Fabric construction and finishes are studied to determine appearance and performance. This course engages students in hands-on projects where they will practice applied and structural design techniques. The impact of contemporary, innovative and environment textiles will also be examined.
