CGC610 - Clothing Construction VI

Clothing Construction 610 assists students in the production process of their own collections. Students will prepare a timeline and order of sewing for each garment in collection & work with specific deadlines and machinery specifics.

DSW615 - Collection Design Development

This subject allows students to continue to explore advanced theories of design, colour fabrication and the practical application of these principles in the creation of their original design collection. The research, design development and problem-solving skills used to begin the design of their collection in fifth semester will continue to be a part of this subject. Students will create cohesive looks which are ready for production as well as collection presentation.

DSW701 - Fashion CAD Portfolio

Students will develop and present a portfolio to showcase their individual fashion design projects.  This is a compilation of the students' work over the last five semesters and may include examples of their fashion illustrations, technical drawings, knitwear and textile samples, patterns and job application package.

PRM600 - Production Planning and Quality Control

Students will learn computerized marker making, utilizing the Gerber Accumark system to replace manual marker making.  This leads to the production of highly efficient markers according to Marker Order Specification.

This subject will provide students with an understanding of the principles used to attain Apparel Quality Control from the design phase, through the production processes, to finished merchandise.  Students will be able consistently to establish specifications of raw materials and production processes.  Furthermore students will have an understanding of prescribing and carrying out quality control inspection procedures through each stage of a production system.

PTW610 - Pattern Making for Graduate Collections

Students will use more advanced pattern work, drafting skills and procedures deployed in developing an apparel line.  This line is to be composed of a grouping of 2 interrelated looks. The student must integrate the created looks into a balanced grouping through the style, texture and colour story.
