This subject will introduce students to the cosmetic retail marketplace where an understanding of the importance of providing exceptional customer service is paramount to success in a retail career. Topics covered will include how to identify and differentiate among customer types, using features and benefits to meet customer's needs, overcoming objections and effectively closing the sales presentation.

COS122 - Beauty and Glamour Makeup Techniques

Emphasis for this subject will be on the study of theoretical and practical aspects of professional makeup artistry and selling techniques focusing on the individual needs of the client for successful sales in the retail environment. 
Students will be introduced to professional use of products and tools, as well as best professional practices. We will begin with fundamental application techniques to enhance features for natural day makeup , advancing to Evening, Glamour and Red Carpet Styles,  
Practical workshops will reinforce the theories learned, to develop confidence in artistic skills.

EAC150 - College English

College English is an introductory college writing and reading course fundamental to successful college studies. Through a variety of assignments and classroom activities, students will strive to develop the rhetorical and analytical skills essential to their success as communicators in college and upon graduation. Fiction and non-fiction will be a central vehicle for teaching writing.

PRE-REQUISITES: EAC149, EAP500, ESL934, ELI Level 8 or placement based on a Seneca College English Skills Assessment
