HAS321 - Health and Safety

The Canadian Labor Code and Aviation Occupational Safety & Health Laws and regulations and organization requirements will be the focus of the course. Students will learn how to be members of a Health & Workplace Committee and document meetings as well as complete workplace inspections and audits. Dangerous Goods Training and WHMIS management are other areas of study.

ASO321 - Airside Operations

Students learn the protocols and functions of working on the Airside ramp, including fuelling, moving aircraft, de-icing, marshaling and operating ground vehicles.

AVM321 - Aviation Management II

Students are introduced to the Canadian aviation business environment and the forces at work shaping the global economy, emphasizing aviation professionals' issues. Students examine the structures of aviation corporations and businesses. Students also study the regulations that govern the corporate business aviation programs and the business aviation associations.

FPD321 - Flight Planning and Dispatch

Students learn how to integrate various operational, technical, and environmental elements into the formulation, execution and amendment of the operational flight plan. Students also prepare for the Transport Canada (TC) Flight Dispatcher Operations Examination, which is a necessary requisite for dispatch certification, and employment as a flight dispatcher in Canada.
