Subject Title
Technical Writing II

Subject Description
Students produce a (min.) 25-page user, policy, or training manual following all steps in the documentation life cycle and managing the project to completion.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this subject the student will be able to:

Upon successful completion of this subject, students will have the ability to:
- perform effective audience and content analysis addressing the needs of their selected client
- identify information sources and conduct research for manual content
- conduct effective interviews with clients and subject matter experts
- apply knowledge of design techniques to create a pleasing, effective and readable document
- develop a project plan/outline for the project
- select and produce effective and appropriate graphics and visual aids
- shape the content into a usable form appropriate for the audience
- create an effective index
? conduct an effective review process
? conduct usability and quality assurance testing on their document
? present a finished product to peers and clients
? establish an evaluation and maintenance plan for their document
? use FrameMaker 6.0 or above at expert level
