York-Seneca campus bid chooses Markham

York University in collaboration with Seneca College announced today that, after a competitive process, Markham Centre has been selected as the preferred location in its bid to build a new campus in York Region.

The bid is part of an Ontario government initiative to expand postsecondary education in growth areas of the province.  Final decisions on campus locations are expected in 2015.

“We are delighted to be working in a strong partnership with York University, York Region and the City of Markham to expand access for today’s and tomorrow’s students,” said Seneca President David Agnew.
