Paralegal students win case competition

Paralegal cup winners

Clifton Yiu and Christopher Gould set the bar high when they competed in the Paralegal Cup Mooting Competition over the weekend, beating out 12 other teams from across the province to win.

Clifton and fellow Seneca competitor Laura Vessey also won individual advocacy awards.

This annual competition gives college students a chance to take part in an actual legal debate and is judged by legal professionals.

Paralegals are legal professionals who are licensed by the Law Society of Upper Canada to provide representation to the public in a number of specified areas.
