Business students win silver at case study competition

Seneca students

Five Seneca students from the Purchasing and Supply Management and Global Logistics programs captured second place in the Association for Operations Management (APICS) case study competition.

Over the course of two days, the Seneca team of Desiree Fong, Irene Guo, Nikita Levin, Denis Iopel and Kalisfena Timofeeva (pictured above) went head-to-head against teams from five other postsecondary institutions in several rounds of a computer simulated case competition.

Seneca's team was coached by professor Hamid Faramarz, with additional support provided by professors Mary Drane and Jim Phillips.

This marks the fifth straight year that a Seneca team has finished in the top three.
