School of Marketing students Will Emslie, Maggie Chen and Nathan Trinh had a strong showing at the Vanier College BDC Case Challenge.
The national competition saw 33 teams from colleges across Canada compete to solve real world business problems. Each team was given three hours to create a viable marketing plan and present their strategy to a panel of judges.
Nathan, Maggie and Will finished fourth in their division, which featured 11 teams.
Christopher Carrasco, from the School of International Business, has advanced to the second stage of the Great Canadian Sales Competition.
Round one of the contest asked postsecondary students across Canada to pitch anything they were passionate about in a 30-90 second video.
Christopher’s video entry highlighted the benefits of Mac laptops. As part of the next stage of the contest, he is now required to pitch one of the competition sponsor’s products to a potential buyer. The sponsors will collaborate and choose the top 10 for the final round to be held in Toronto, where the winner will receive $5,000.
