Valedictorian Leyla Alizada
Leyla is part of the inaugural graduating class of the new Bachelor of Commerce – International Business Management degree program. Leyla previously graduated from Seneca’s International Business diploma program and went on to work at the commodities trading firm Ronald A. Chisholm. An immigrant from the Republic of Azerbaijan, Leyla chose to study at Seneca because of its highly regarded reputation abroad. Leyla mentored new students as part of the SMILE program and speaks regularly at Faculty of Business events. She won two Seneca business scholarships and is one of 30 Export Development Canada 2013 International Business Scholarship winners. Armed with her degree and several key industry designations, Leyla hopes to pursue a career in Canada’s public service promoting international trade.
