Meet the Spring 2013 Valedictorians

Valedictorian Laura Brushett
Laura is graduating from the Veterinary Technician program. After completing a Bachelor of Science degree, she moved to Ontario from Newfoundland to pursue her passion for working with animals. Laura says professors were caring and always took the time to talk with her and provide guidance. She served as President of the Vet Tech Club and helped organize events like a groom-a-thon, micro-chip clinic, and rabies clinic to help promote awareness in the community. The events raised funds for the program for initiatives that will benefit the students and the animals on campus. She will be taking the Veterinary Technician National Exam in July, and is currently working full-time as a Veterinary Technician at an emergency vet clinic in Scarborough.
