Meet the Spring 2014 Valedictorians

Valedictorian Poornima Kadambari

Poornima is graduating from the Bachelor of Therapeutic Recreation degree program. She also holds a Bachelors of Arts degree in Sociology and Women’s Studies and a Public Relations diploma. She is a dedicated community volunteer serving in a variety of capacities such as a complementary health therapist at Hazel Burns Hospice and as a meditation instructor for older adults. Her passion for healing arts and social justice drove her to pursue Therapeutic Recreation at Seneca. The highlight was her field placement at Famous PEOPLE Players dinner theatre where she learned about therapeutic recreation in an unconventional setting. Poornima hopes to pursue a Master’s in Counselling and become a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist to help people move beyond all barriers to lead a balanced, joyful, and meaningful life.
