Valedictorian Ashley Rose Sabooni

Ashley Rose is graduating from the Early Childhood Education (ECE) diploma program. She decided to pursue a career in early childhood education in order to inspire and encourage the next generation as so many educators did for her. She says one of the highlights of her experience at Seneca was having the opportunity to meet and work with wonderful faculty who brought the field to life through workshops and engaging classes. The field placements she participated in during the program helped Ashley Rose develop her teaching style and taught her how to be flexible in a work environment. Throughout her time at Seneca, she volunteered at ECE job fairs and at the College’s Open House to help let new and potential students know about the options available to them. Following her volunteer position at one of the job fairs, Ashley Rose was hired full-time at a child care centre in North York. She hopes to one day own and operate her own child care centre.
