Meet the Spring 2016 Valedictorians

Jay Chan

Jay is graduating from the Honours Bachelor of Commerce – Business Management program. He was initially attracted to Seneca because of small class sizes and opportunities to interact and network with professors. Seneca was also Jay’s school of choice because it offered the ability to complete a degree program in a college environment. Jay became involved in extracurricular activities as soon as he joined the Seneca community, working with the Student Federation’s Street Team to market and publicize various studentcentred events, and assisting first-year students as a SMILE mentor. Jay was previously recognized for his academic achievements, earning an Association of Chinese Canadian Entrepreneurs scholarship. He also reached the silver level of the Seneca Leadership Program throughout his time as a student. Jay’s career began as soon as his classes ended, obtaining a full-time position as a business analyst for Ontario’s Ministry of Government and Consumer Services.
