Sarbjit Singh Chadha

Sarbjit is graduating from the Building Environmental Systems Operator certificate program. He came to Canada from India in 2003 after earning a diploma in mechanical engineering. Initially unable to find full-time employment in his preferred industry, he often worked as a labourer, security guard and custodian instead. Recognizing that he needed to upgrade his skillset, Sarbjit chose to study at Seneca. Sarbjit demonstrated an interest in building operations and would often share his passion for and knowledge of new construction trends and projects with his peers. Sarbjit attributes much of his success to his professors, who assisted him in preparing for job interviews and for the professional demands of his sector. Sarbjit’s interest in building operations has helped to earn him a full-time position at Runnymede Health Centre as a general maintenance associate. He credits Seneca for providing him with the experiential learning opportunities he needed to succeed in his field.
