The infrastructure of a retail operation is complex and challenging, particularly within the fashion industry. Our program’s unique approach culminates in a semester managing Seneca’s on-campus apparel store, The Boutique. Complemented by a field placement in fashion store operations you’ll learn and understand seasonal cycles from purchasing through to inventory, merchandising and final sale.
Through field placements, competitions, and Seneca’s Fashion Resource Centre – a collection of Canadian–worn garments and accessories, you’ll experience the industry, build connections and develop a career. Visit our blog to learn more about Seneca’s exclusive Fashion Resource Centre.
Fashion business is as much about communication and psychology as it is about what’s on the shelf. Students in this program understand effective presentations and promotion, and learn the history behind today’s current trends.
