Kennedy Jawoko Journalism

Kennedy Jawoko is a journalist who became faculty at Seneca@York in 2016. He teaches courses in broadcast journalism and research methods, which build upon his interests in international journalism and social entrepreneurship. Born in Uganda, he previously worked as a producer of radio and TV programs at the CBC. He also executed media development programs in South Sudan. In 2013-2014, he became a Knight Journalism Fellow at Stanford University. He then served as a 2014-2015 Visiting Scholar at Stanford, and 2015 Social Entrepreneur in Residence at the Haas Center for Public Service at Stanford. Before joining Seneca@York, he co-taught a course on social entrepreneurship at Stanford and also taught a course on Globalization, Media and Technology at Ryerson University. Jawoko received his Bachelor of Journalism from Ryerson University and a master's degree from the University of Toronto in political science.
