In October 2016, Abbas Hussein Sikiladha graduated from Seneca’s Honours Bachelors of Commerce – International Business Management degree program. He represented his graduating class as valedictorian and spoke about how each person must choose how they want the story of their lives to unfold.
An international student from Dubai, Abbas came to Canada and Seneca to study in the Business Administration – Financial Planning advanced diploma program. He chose Seneca for his postsecondary education after researching his options and being drawn to the student experience offered here.
Upon completing the program, he decided to transfer into one of Seneca’s Honours Bachelor of Commerce degrees to add to his education and increase his career options.
During his studies, Abbas was very involved in the community, volunteering for Seneca’s student mentoring SMILE program, tutoring in the Learning Centre and working in International Student Services. He did a co-op placement at Pearl’s Choice, a Seneca HELIX (Health Entrepreneurship and Lifestyle Xchange) fostered company.
Abbas is now hoping to add another credential to his personal story by attending law school.
Seneca provides many options for students to build on their education with advanced diplomas, degrees and graduate certificates. For more information on the credentials that Seneca offers, take a look at Our Programs.
