Algoma University will offer transfer credits for all Seneca graduates from either a 1-year certificate program or a 2- or 3-year diploma program depending on college GPA and the degree of affinity/relation between the diploma and degree programs. Seneca College Graduates of 3-year diploma programs with a GPA from 2.5 to 2.99 may be eligible for up to 30 credits and graduates with a GPA of 3.0 to 4.0 are eligible for up to 60 credits toward a related 90 credit 3-year degree or a 120 credit 4-year degree in a related degree.

Seneca College Graduates of 2-year diploma programs with a GPA from 2.5 to 2.99 may be eligible for up to 15 credits and graduates with a GPA of 3.0 to 4.0 are eligible for up to 45 credits toward a related 90 credit 3-year degree or a 120 credit 4-year degree in a related degree.

Seneca College Graduates of 1-year certificate programs with a GPA above 3.0 are eligible for up to 15 credits (one semester) towards a 90 credit 3-year Bachelor of Arts degree or a 120 credit 4-year Bachelor of Arts degree.


Seneca Program: Open (Any relevant Seneca diploma program)

Degree: Bachelor of Business Administration (Brampton) – Bridge

Graduates from any 3-year non-business diploma may be eligible for up to 30 transfer credits towards this degree. A bridging semester of five introductory business courses must be completed in the Spring/Summer term before taking upper year courses in the following Fall term. Seneca Program: Social Service Worker

Degree: Bachelor of Arts in Community Development, Bachelor of Arts in Community, Economic and Social Development

Graduates of this diploma program may be eligible for 54 credits towards the 90 credit 3-year Community Development or the 120 credit 4-year Community Economic and Social Development degree program. Students must graduate with a minimum 3.0 overall GPA.


Seneca Program: Social Service Worker - Immigrants and Refugees

Degree: Bachelor of Arts in Community Development, Bachelor of Arts in Community, Economic and Social Development

Graduates of this diploma program may be eligible for 57 credits towards the 90 credit 3-year Community Development or the 120 credit 4-year Community Economic and Social Development degree program. Students must graduate with a minimum 3.0 overall GPA.


Seneca Program: Social Service Worker - Immigrants and Refugees

Degree: Bachelor of Social Work

Graduates of this diploma program may be eligible for up to 30 transfer credits towards the Bachelor of Social Work. Students must graduate with a minimum 3.0 overall GPA.

Graduates of this diploma program may be eligible for up to 45 transfer credits towards the Bachelor of Social Work. Students must graduate with a minimum 3.0 overall GPA.


Seneca Program: Child and Youth Care (Formerly: Child and Youth Worker)

Degree: Bachelor of Social Work, Psychology and Sociology

Graduates of this diploma program may be eligible for up to 45 transfer credits towards the Bachelor of Social Work. Students must graduate with a minimum 3.0 overall GPA.


Seneca Program: Accounting and Finance - (Optional Co-op), Accounting and Payroll - (Optional Co-op), Accounting, Business - Insurance - (Optional Co-op), Business - Marketing, Business Administration - Accounting & Financial Planning - (Optional Co-op), Business Administration - Entrepreneurship and Small Business, Business Administration - Financial Planning - (Optional Co-op), Business Administration - Management, Business Administration - Marketing - (Optional Co-op), Business Administration - Purchasing and Supply Management, Business

Degree: Bachelor of Business Administration (Brampton or SSM), Bachelor of Arts in Finance & Economics, Bachelor of Arts in Accounting

Graduates from any 3-year Business Administration diploma may be eligible for up to 60 transfer credits towards this degree (no minor). Graduates from any 2-year business related diploma or 3-year Business Administration diploma who wish to complete a minor may be eligible for up to 45 transfer credits towards the degree program.


Seneca Program: Accounting and Finance - (Optional Co-op), Accounting, Business, Child and Youth Care (Formerly: Child and Youth Worker), Computer Engineering Technology - (Optional Co-op), Computer Networking and Technical Support, Computer Programmer, Early Childhood Education, Graphic Design, Law Clerk, Liberal Arts University Transfer, Police Foundations, Social Service Worker - Immigrants and Refugees, Social Service Worker

Degree: Bachelor of Arts in a related field


Seneca Program: Computer Engineering Technology - (Optional Co-op), Computer Programmer, Computer Programming and Analysis - (Optional Co-op)

Degree: Bachelor of Computer Science (Accelerated Degree or Traditional – SSM Campus)

Graduates of a computer science diploma program with a 3.0 overall GPA can earn a General 3-Year Computer Science degree in one year of study. Students must complete an accelerated summer semester from May through August and enter their 3rd year of study in September.


Seneca Program: Pre-Health Sciences Pathway to Advanced Diplomas and Degrees (Formerly: Pre-Health Science)

Degree: Bachelor of Science in Biology, Bachelor of Science in Psychology

Graduates from the Pre-Health Science certificate program are eligible for admission and one semester of transfer credit (15 credits) to a Bachelor of Science program in Biology or Psychology. Students must graduate from the Pre-Health Science program with a minimum 3.0 GPA or higher.


Seneca Program: Police Foundations

Degree: Bachelor of Arts in Law & Justice, Bachelor of Arts in Political Science

Graduates from the Police Foundations program with a minimum 3.0 GPA are eligible for up to 45 transfer credits towards the Law & Justice degree program.
