Regardless if there is a formal pathway or not,  if you’ve completed 1 or more years of any academic program at Seneca, you can transfer to any undergraduate degree at Brock University as long as you meet specific admission and prerequisite requirements. General policy: Graduates of a 3-year diploma program with a  B average or 70% (3.0 GPA) in the last 2 semesters of a 3-year diploma program will be considered for admission and may be awarded up to 7 credits depending on the compatibility  of the Seneca and Brock programs and with the approval of the department.

Applicants who have completed a 2-year program with a cumulative average of 70% (3.0 GPA) will be considered for admission and may be awarded up to 5 credits, depending on the compatibility of the Seneca and Brock programs and with the approval of the department.

Applicants who have completed 1 year of a college program may be considered for admission to 1st year with no transfer credits provided that a B+ average or 75% (3.5 GPA)  has been achieved and the program is of an academic nature.

Admission is not guaranteed by attainment  of the minimum requirements.

The awarding of transfer credit is based  primarily upon:

  1. compatibility of the college program with  the Brock program;

  2. course content;

  3. grades achieved in each subject.


Seneca Program: Early Childhood Education

Degree: Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (Honours)

A minimum 75% cumulative average in the Early Childhood Education diploma program is required for entry to Brock via the articulation agreement. Successful applicants must also be in “Good Standing” or in the process of being assessed for “Good Standing” with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators. Eligible applicants will be awarded 7 of the credits required to complete the degree: 1 Year 1 CHYS credits, 0.5 Year 2 CHYS credits, 4 Year 1 elective credits, and 1.5 Year 2 unspecified elective credits. Seneca Program: Social Service Worker - Gerontology, Social Service Worker - Immigrants and Refugees, Social Service Worker

Degree: Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Psychology degree or a 4-year with Major Psychology degree, or a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Women’s Studies degree

A minimum 75% (3.5 GPA) cumulative average for these diploma programs is required for entry to Brock via the articulation agreement. Eligible applications will be awarded 5 of the 20 credits required to complete the degree: 3 Year 1 Social Science credits, and 2 Year 2 Social Science credits. Seneca Program: Paralegal

Degree: Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Political Science

A minimum 75% (3.5 GPA) cumulative average on these diploma programs is required for entry to Brock via the articulation agreement. Eligible applicants will be awarded 5 out of 20 credits required to complete the degree: 3 Year 1 Social Science credits and 2 Year 2 Social Science credits. Seneca Program: Police Foundations

Degree: 4-year Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology, Sociology, Geography or Political Science degree

A minimum 75% (3.5 GPA) cumulative average in the Seneca Police Foundations diploma program is required for entry to Brock via the articulation agreement. Eligible applicants will be awarded 5.0 of the 20 credits required to complete the degree: 1.5 Year 1 Social Science credits, 1 Year 1 Humanities credits, 0.5 Year 2 Social Science credits, and 2 Year 2 unspecified elective credits. Seneca Program: Recreation and Leisure Services

Degree: 3-year (Pass) or 4-year (Honours), or 4-year with Major Bachelor of Recreation and Leisure Studies degree

A minimum 75% cumulative average in this diploma program is required for entry to Brock via the articulation agreement. Eligible applicants will be awarded 6.5 of the 20 credits required to complete the degree: RECL 1P90, RECL 1P99, RECL 2P00, RECL 2P02, RECL 2P15, 0.5 RECL Year 2 elective credit, RECL 3P95, 1 Social Science credit, 2 unspecified elective credits.
