Seneca Program: Business Administration - Accounting & Financial Planning - (Optional Co-op), Business Administration - Human Resources - (Optional Co-op), Business Administration - International Business - (Optional Co-op), Business Administration - Management, Business Administration - Marketing - (Optional Co-op)

Degree: Bachelor of Administration or Honours Bachelor of Commerce

Bachelor of Administration Transfer Program:

Graduates of Seneca College’s 3-year Business Administration Diploma program with a minimum overall average of 70% (3.0 GPA or B) in Business courses will be considered for admission to the third year of the Bachelor of Administration program. Graduates must complete one of the following majors at Seneca College in order to be considered for the Bachelor of Administration college transfer program: Accounting, Human Resources Management, Marketing, General Business and International Business. Graduates from these particular majors are not required to complete make-up courses prior to the start of the program. Other majors not listed above will be considered on an individual basis. The Bachelor of Administration transfer program can be completed in 8 months (September to April). The Bachelor of Administration program is available at both the Thunder Bay Campus and the Orillia Campus.

Honours Bachelor of Commerce Transfer Program:

Graduates of Seneca College’s 3-year Business Administration Diploma program with a minimum overall average of 75% (3.3 GPA or B+) in Business courses will be considered for admission to the third year of the Honours Bachelor of Commerce program. Graduates do not need to complete specific majors in order to be considered for the Honours Bachelor of Commerce college transfer program. The Honours Bachelor of Commerce college transfer program can be completed in two years of study after graduating from Seneca College. To be considered for the Honours Bachelor of Commerce college transfer program, Seneca graduates must have the following courses in their background:

Two semesters of: Accounting (Financial* and Managerial), Communications (Business Writing and Presentation), Economics (Micro* & Macro*), Computing & Information Systems I* & II, Corporate Finance (not personal or financial accounting), Marketing, Statistics*

One semester of: Administration/Management*, Human Resources Management/Industrial Relations, Production/Operations Management

*Note: If you have a deficiency in the above areas, you will be required to complete a make-up course. The above courses with an asterisk must be completed prior to the start of the program in September. The Honours Bachelor of Commerce program is available at the Thunder Bay Campus only.

Seneca Program: Chemical Engineering Technology - (Optional Co-op), Civil Engineering Technology - (Optional Co-op), Computer Engineering Technology - (Optional Co-op), Electronics Engineering Technology

Degree: Bachelor of Engineering

Graduates of Seneca College’s 3-year Engineering Technology Diploma programs with a minimum final average of 70% (3.0 GPA or B) in their final year will be considered for admission to the third year of the Bachelor of Engineering program. Applicants who receive an Offer of Admission can expect to complete their degree in two additional years of study after graduating from Seneca College. Depending on the number of required make-up courses, it may take longer than two additional years for some admitted applicants to complete the Bachelor of Engineering program. Note that all successful applicants must successfully complete a summer transition program during July and August before the start of the program in September.

Seneca Program: Environmental Technician - Sampling and Monitoring, Environmental Technician - (Optional Co-op), Environmental Technology - (Optional Co-op)

Degree: Honours Bachelor of Science in Forestry or Honours Bachelor of Environmental Management

Graduates of Seneca College’s Environmental Technician or Technology Diploma programs with a minimum final average of 70% (3.0 GPA or B) in their final year will be considered for admission to the third year of the Honours Bachelor of Science in Forestry program or the Honours Bachelor of Environmental Management program. Applicants who receive an Offer of Admission can expect to complete their degree in two additional years of study after graduating from Seneca College. Applicants admitted to either the Honours Bachelor of Science Forestry program or the Honours Bachelor of Environmental Management program will be required to attend and successfully complete a four-week summer transition program. The summer transition program normally begins on the last week of July.

Seneca Program: Recreation and Leisure Services - (Co-op)

Degree: Honours Bachelor of Outdoor Recreation

Graduates of Seneca College’s Recreation and Leisure Services diploma with a minimum overall average of 75% (3.3 GPA or B+) will be considered for admission into Year 2 of the Honours Bachelor of Outdoor Recreation (HBOR) program.

Seneca Program: Child and Youth Care (Formerly: Child and Youth Worker), Social Service Worker - Gerontology, Social Service Worker - Immigrants and Refugees, Social Service Worker

Degree: Honours Bachelor of Social Work

Graduates of Seneca College’s Child and Youth Care or Social Service Worker Diploma programs with a minimum final average of 70% (3.0 GPA or B) may be eligible for transfer credit towards the first year of the Honours Bachelor of Social Work program.

Seneca Program: Early Childhood Education

Degree: Concurrent Education

Graduates of Seneca College’s Early Childhood Education diploma with a minimum overall average of 75% (3.3 GPA or B+) may be eligible for up to one year of transfer credit.


Seneca Program: Police Foundations

Degree: Honours Bachelor of Arts and Sciences (Criminology)

Graduates of Seneca College’s Police Foundations diploma with a minimum overall average of 70% (3.0 GPA or B) will be considered for admission into the Honours Bachelor of Arts & Science (Criminology Major) program. Applicants who receive an Offer of Admission can expect to complete their degree in three additional years of study after graduating from Seneca College.


Seneca Program: Environmental Technology - (Optional Co-op)

Degree: Honours Bachelor of Science (Water Resource Science)

Graduates of Seneca College’s 3-year Environmental Technology diploma with a minimum average of 75% will be considered for admission into the third year of the Honours Bachelor of Science (Water Resource Science Major) program. Applicants who receive an Offer of Admission can expect to complete their degree in two additional years of study after graduating from Seneca College.


Seneca Program: Environmental Technology - (Optional Co-op)

Degree: Honours Bachelor of Environmental Science (Biology) or Honours Bachelor of Environmental Science (Geography) program

Graduates of Seneca College’s 3-year Environmental Technology diploma with a minimum average of 75% will be considered for admission into the third year of the Honours Bachelor of Environmental Science (Biology Major).

Graduates of Seneca College’s 3-year Environmental Technology diploma with a minimum average of 75% will be considered for admission into the third year of the Honours Bachelor of Environmental Science (Geography Major).


Seneca Program: Environmental Technology - (Optional Co-op)

Degree: Honours Bachelor of Environmental Studies (Geography)

Graduates of Seneca College’s 3-year Environmental Technology diploma with a minimum average of 75% will be considered for admission into the third year of the Honours Bachelor of Environmental Studies (Geography Major).


Seneca Program: Biotechnology - Advanced - (Optional Co-op)

Degree: Honours Bachelor of Science (Applied Life Sciences)

Graduates of Seneca College’s 3-year Biotechnology diploma with a minimum average of 75% will be considered for admission into the third year of the Honours Bachelor of Science (Applied Life Sciences Major) program.


Seneca Program: Environmental Technology - (Optional Co-op)

Degree: Honours Bachelor of Arts & Science (Environmental Sustainability)

Graduates of a 3-year diploma program in Environmental Technology, with a minimum average of 75%, may be considered for admission into the third year of the Honours Bachelor of Arts & Science (Environmental Sustainability) program offered at the Orillia Campus.

Seneca Program: Arts and Science - University Transfer, Liberal Arts University Transfer

Degree: Honours Bachelor of Arts & Science (Interdisciplinary Studies Major) or Bachelor of Arts & Science (Interdisciplinary Studies Major)

Graduates from these programs, with a minimum average of 70%, may be considered for admission into the third year of the Bachelor of Arts and Science (Interdisciplinary Studies Major), or into the third year of the Honours Bachelor of Arts and Science (Interdisciplinary Studies Major). All applicants will need to complete a certain number of specific courses from a variety of subject areas in their college program. The criteria are:

For the Honours Bachelor of Arts and Science (Interdisciplinary Studies Major) program:

  • at least two (2) one-semester courses of: math, science, geography, or introductory psychology;
  • at least one (1) one-semester course in: Inquiry methods or Senior Academic Research;
  • at least two (2) one-semester college courses of advanced academic content; and
  • at least two (2) introductory one-semester college courses in two (2) of the following areas: Anthropology, Biology, English Literature, Geography, General Science, History, Political Science, Psychology, and Sociology.

For the Bachelor of Arts and Science (Interdisciplinary Studies Major) program:

  • at least two (2) one-semester courses of: math, science, geography, or introductory psychology;
  • at least one (1) one-semester course in: Inquiry methods or Senior Academic Research;
  • at least two (2) one-semester college courses of advanced academic content; and
  • at least two (2) introductory one-semester college courses in one (1) of the following areas: Anthropology, Biology, English Literature, Geography, General Science, History, Political Science, Psychology, and Sociology.

Applicants who are lacking certain course content will be required to complete additional courses at Lakehead University.

All applicants must complete two (2) universitylevel full credits during the spring/summer term at Lakehead University.

Seneca Program: Arts and Science - University Transfer, Liberal Arts University Transfer

Degree: Bachelor of Arts (General Major)

Graduates from these programs with a minimum average of 70%, may be considered for admission into the third year of the Bachelor of Arts (General Major) provided they have completed at least two (2) one-semester courses of advanced academic content.

All applicants must complete two (2) universitylevel full credits during the spring/summer term at Lakehead University.

Applicants who have taken more than the minimum number of advanced level or secondyear university courses as part of their college program may be eligible to receive up to two (2) university-level full credits of advanced standing.

Seneca Program: Graphic Design

Degree: Honours Bachelor of Arts & Science (Media Studies Major)

Graduates from a 3-year Graphic Design program from an Ontario college, with a minimum average of 70%, may be considered for admission into the third year of the Honours Bachelor of Arts and Science (Media Studies Major). All applicants must complete 1.5 university-level full credits during the spring/summer term at Lakehead University.
