Seneca Program: Child and Youth Care (Formerly: Child and Youth Worker), Early Childhood Education

Degree: Bachelor in Child and Youth Care (BCYC)

Graduates with a minimum GPA of 3.0 (B) are eligible for block transfer credit of 30 units (60 credits) towards the BCYC degree program. The program is delivered on campus and by distance delivery. The entire degree can be completed online with the exception of one course at the fourth year level. CYC 475 is typically the last course students take in their degree program and it is offered as a ten-day lab in Victoria either in December or May of each year. Students often stay in residence to take this course. This ten-day lab is the only time students must come to campus to meet core course requirements. The University of Victoria School of Child and Youth Care is a member of the BC Child and Youth Care Education Consortium. Please visit our website for more program information: uvic.ca/hsd/cyc/.
