Applying for a degree transfer
Once you have decided on the schools and programs that meet your educational needs, you need to submit your application.
Please note: In addition to the links provided here, there may be other methods to submit your application. Some of the schools and programs you apply to may also require that you complete a supplemental application.
Here are some tips on applying within Seneca and elsewhere:
Transfer from a Seneca diploma to a degree
Seneca’s four-year bachelor degree programs address the need for degree-level graduates with the strong theoretical knowledge and practical skills required by employers.
Seneca graduates from these degree programs are eligible to apply to Master level studies.
How to transfer
To transfer to a degree program, fill out a Diploma to Seneca Degree Pathways Transfer Form. This form can also be obtained from the Registration Office, the Degree Program Co-ordinator/Program Chair, your Academic Advisor or the Degree and Credit Transfer Office.
Once you have completed your portion of the form, bring it to your Academic Advisor, Program Co-ordinator or Program Chair who will complete the remaining portion of the form and submit it for processing.
This easy, free application process means that students transferring from their Seneca diploma to a Seneca degree program no longer have to apply through OCAS. It’s that simple.
Please note: This application process is valid only for current Seneca students and recent graduates (within the last year). If you are a graduate from another college or if you are wishing to start in semester one of a degree program, you should apply through Ontario Colleges.
Please contact the Degree and Credit Transfer Office with any questions you may have.
For a September start, it is generally a good idea to begin your application sometime late in January. Every school has different deadlines and even within a school there may be different deadlines between programs, so make sure that you know the deadlines for the programs you are applying to. If you are applying to a university in Ontario, you will apply using the 105 application through the Ontario Universities' Application Centre. We recommend that you use the online application. For assistance completing the application, contact the Degree Transfer Office at your campus. The Ontario Colleges website should be used if you are applying to a program at an Ontario college.
Canada and the United States
To learn more about applying to a university or college outside of Ontario, there is a guide to schools with transfer agreements with Seneca. For assistance completing your application, contact the Degree and Credit Transfer Office at your campus.
