What are the admission requirements to apply to university?

Admission requirements vary per program. Please visit the university website and check admission requirements for each program you are interested in. Most universities require a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0.

When is the deadline to apply to university?

Universities have different deadlines. There may even be different deadlines between programs within a university. In addition, there are sometimes different deadlines for different types of students; you will need to check the deadline for transfer students. Make sure to find out the deadlines by visiting the university’s website.

After completing my Seneca diploma, I want to apply to a Seneca degree. How should I apply?

What university degrees does my Seneca diploma have transfer agreements with?

Do I have to complete my Seneca program to transfer to another post-secondary institution?

Many of the pathway agreements listed in our Degree Transfer Guide are for students who will be completing their Seneca programs. Whether or not you are eligible to apply to a program at another institution without completing your Seneca program depends on the receiving institution’s admission requirements. Please check the website of the program you are interested in and if you are unsure, feel free to contact us.

Can I transfer to a program with which my Seneca program does not have a transfer agreement?

You are eligible to apply to any program as long as you meet its admission requirements. The receiving institution will evaluate your application for transfer credit after you have applied and been admitted to their program. I graduated from a Seneca diploma program a few years ago. Can I transfer to a degree program with which the Seneca program I graduated from currently has a pathway agreement?

You may be eligible for admission and transfer credit. Once you apply, the receiving institution will most likely assess your application on an individual basis.

How do I send my official Seneca transcript to another institution?

You can order an Official Transcript from Seneca’s Office of the Registrar. Please visit the Transcripts page for instructions.

If you are applying to a university through the Ontario Universities' Application Centre (OUAC), you will request a transcript to be sent to the receiving institution through one of the application’s steps. If you are still enrolled in courses at the time you apply, you need to request a transcript to be sent immediately as well as when your grades for that semester become available. How can I make an appointment with a Degree Transfer Advisor?

If you need assistance transferring from Seneca to another post-secondary institution, please visit our Online Appointment Booking System, click on “Click here to register,” fill in your information and click “Register.” From the drop-down menu in the upper middle part of the page, select your campus. The white spots represent available appointments, which you can click on to register.
