Minimum criteria for admission differ between divisions. For current admission requirements, clarification on prerequisites and eligibility for transfer credit for each division, visit www.adm.utoronto.ca/adm.

Graduates with a 2-year diploma: The Faculty of Arts and Science and the University of Toronto Scarborough consider academic studies for transfer credit, and may award up to 3 generic full course credit equivalents towards a degree. The University of Toronto Mississauga may award up to 3 full credits towards a degree. Five full credits are equivalent to one year of full-time study.

Graduates with a 3-Year Diploma: The Faculty of Arts and Science, the University of Toronto Mississauga and the University of Toronto Scarborough will consider academic studies for transfer credit, and may award up to 5 full course credit equivalents towards a degree. The Faculty of Arts and Science and U of T Scarborough may require students to attend interviews with the relevant departments after admission. Five full credits are equivalent to one year of full-time study.


Seneca Program: Liberal Arts University Transfer

This joint program allows students who have successfully completed the 2-year diploma program and who meet additional, specified requirements an opportunity to be admitted to the Faculty of Arts and Science with a minimum of 6.0 transfer credits. In order to be eligible for this pathway, students must obtain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better and must also be enrolled in the Liberal Arts Diploma program at the Newnham Campus. Students must also enroll in at least one session through Woodsworth College at the University of Toronto and successfully complete a course which can be applied to a degree program at the U of T. Transfer credit from the Liberal Arts program combined with the university credits earned while in LAT and in the summer after graduating allow students to enter a Honours Bachelor’s of Arts (HBA) program at the University of Toronto and complete a degree within two years. In order to be eligible for this pathway, students must obtain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better and must also be enrolled in the Liberal Arts Diploma program at the Newnham Campus. Students must also enroll in at least one session at UTSC and successfully complete a course that can be applied to a degree program at the U of T. Transfer credit from the Liberal Arts program combined with the university credits earned while in LAT and in the summer after graduating allow students to enter a Bachelor of Arts (BA) program at the University of Toronto and complete a degree within two years.
