For me, it all begins with the professors. They are fabulous. They have tremendous knowledge of and passion for the industry. They believe in what they are teaching and it makes you excited to try it for yourself. They explain things, give deadlines, follow up with you and give you feedback just like any employer would. Their belief in you makes you really believe in yourself and feel that anything is possible if you just go for it.
The program itself is realistic, not flowery. What you learn is the ‘real deal’. At the time, I thought to myself that I would never need to know these things ever again; however, this is not true. There have been many occasions where I have used what I learned at Seneca and applied it to my job.
I would fully and honestly recommend this program because it will teach you a great deal about the fashion retail industry and how to become the best you can be in this field.
I believe that I have been a success in my career because of the Fashion Business Program, what it stands for and the people that work there. I would never have gotten my foot in the door had it not been for what I learned in those hours in and outside the classroom. I went to Seneca to better myself and what I found was even greater than that. I found passion that I never knew I had and I found success, something that I have always wanted to experience.

Overall the Fashion Business Program reaffirmed my desire to be in this industry and thoroughly prepared me for starting my career. I was able to immediately apply my studies to my job and continue to do so today.
The program offers a great mix of practical and theoretical subjects. The local field trips and many of our projects gave us the opportunity to take initiative and get out in the industry to make contacts.
Smaller class sizes allowed for a more personal relationship between students and faculty. The professors were industry professionals who used real industry examples in the classroom. They gave us a realistic view of the types of employment we could get after graduation.

I made the decision to return to school after starting my family and feeling unhappy about the job I was doing. As a graduate of the Fashion Business Program, I finally have a career I'm so proud of! I am thankful to the Fashion Business faculty for all they taught me and their endless support in looking for employment.

I am often asked where I studied and with delight I answer Seneca College. It is with honesty in my heart when I say I am where I am today because of the Fashion Business Program. This program prepares you impeccably. There were times I doubted the relevance of some material; however, after entering the industry, its significance was cemented.
I was fortunate to participate in international field trips to New York City, Chicago, and Europe, which provided a unique learning opportunity and aided my overall development for the field.
A very special and heartfelt ‘thank you’ goes to the extraordinary Fashion Business faculty. They were my teachers, motivators, and friends and they continue to be today.
