Program Description

This program is intended to provide Registered Veterinary Technicians the specialized husbandry, reproduction, nutrition, and business expertise essential in the large animal and equine veterinary industry. This program is aimed at graduates of veterinary technician/technology programs.

Admission Requirements

Program Eligibility:

  • A recognized degree or postsecondary diploma from an accredited institution in animal sciences or veterinary technician.
  • English proficiency at the post-secondary level.

Prior To Beginning Of Class:

  • Pre-exposure immunization for rabies is required for all students entering the program.

Note:

Although not required for admission, please note the following for success in the program:

  • A strong background in math, sciences, and communication skills is essential.
  • Due to the physical requirements of the program, the ability to lift 30kg is required.

Transfer Credit/Pathways
