HADI SHAHEEN

Director, International Consultancy and Learning Solutions

Hadi joined Seneca in June 2016 to build and lead the College’s international activity in the fields of consultancy and learning solutions. He works with academic and service departments at Seneca.

Hadi has more than 13 years of experience working in innovation, technology, and corporate strategy. Before joining Seneca, he established and led a consultancy firm that focused on human capital solutions with clients in Canada, China and the Middle East. He also was responsible for the design and delivery of international training contracts, and led the transformation of a training business into a leading education technology company.

Hadi speaks English, Arabic and French (basic), is an alum of Singularity University’s (San Francisco) Executive Program (EP), has an MBA from University of Alberta, completed a Bachelor of Business Administration, and participated in graduate studies in Computer Science. Hadi is a mentor at Futurpreneur Canada and a Volunteer Consultant with the GROW Movement (Africa), where he provides advice to African entrepreneurs and micro-businesses in Uganda and Rwanda.

PRASHANT SRIVASTA

Associate Director

Prashant joined the Seneca International team in June 2014 as Project Manager for International Partnerships and Projects. Prashant oversees business development and strategic partnerships in conjunction with global partners in India. He also organizes short term executive development programs and international training programs. He assists in developing articulation agreements, cohort based recruitment, delivery of Seneca programs overseas, and takes an active part in working with South Asian community groups in the Greater Toronto Area.

Prashant has extensive experience in International Projects and Partnerships, having worked for various institutions in Canada and the USA. He holds a Bachelor in Electronics Engineering from Shivaji University, India; an MBA from the University of Hertfordshire, UK; a post graduate diploma in Business Studies from Vancouver Island University; and a certificate in Immigration Law, Policy and Procedures from the University of British Columbia. Prashant gained experience in International Marketing, Recruitment, and Admissions while working for US and Canadian institutions. He also speaks English, Hindi, Urdu and Punjabi, enjoys traveling and has interests in global affairs and international trade.

QUINN DE VRIES

Project Manager

Quinn joined the Seneca International team in May 2015. As Project Manager, she oversees funded international development initiatives –managing all aspects of project and contract delivery including: internal coordination; financial and narrative reporting to the funding organizations; regular communications with overseas partners; and organizing promotional activities around the success of Seneca’s projects. Quinn is also responsible for analyzing and developing international project and contract opportunities, formulating proposals and working with Seneca faculty, staff and administrators to respond to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for projects and contracts. Primary regions of focus currently include Latin America, Eastern Africa and the Caribbean.

Quinn completed an Honours BA in History & Spanish Language, along with post graduate certificates in both Project Management and International Development. Quinn has worked as an ESL teacher in Taiwan and South Korea; spent countless months at a time in the Dominican Republic working with her small not-for-profit group on community development initiatives; and enjoyed a year studying in Mexico at the Universidad de Guanajuato. She speaks English, Spanish, basic French and is working on her Portuguese.  During her spare time, Quinn enjoys traveling to just about anywhere, spending time being active outdoors and volunteering with her not-for-profit group. 

MARY BANTUG

Project Manager

Mary joined the Seneca International team in January 2017.  As Project Manager, she manages Seneca’s international development initiatives from proposal to planning and finally to execution. This includes communication and coordination with all stakeholders, financial reporting to funding bodies and also planning and developing Seneca’s promotional activities around Seneca’s global outreach. Current regions of focus include East Africa and Asia. 

Mary completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto, and post-graduate studies in International Development at Humber College. She recently returned from a two-year stint in Tanzania (East Africa) where she worked with a local NGO, managing a co-working space for social entrepreneurs in the Kilimanjaro region. She previously spent 10 years with one of Canada’s 5 big banks before making the leap into international development work. Mary can speak English and Tagalog, and she is working on her Swahili and French.

 

ZINA ALOBAYDI

Project Assistant

Zina Joined the Seneca International team in February 2017. As Project Assistant, she assists in the administration work of Internationally-funded development initiatives and international projects and partnerships.

Zina completed an Advance Diploma in Business Administration – Management at Seneca College. Currently, she is finishing her Honours BA in International Business Management at Seneca College. Outside of Seneca, Zina enjoys traveling, photography and has interest in innovative entrepreneurship initiatives.
