Announcement to all international students:
Starting Fall 2015, you have improved health insurance while studying at Seneca which will include eyeglass and dental coverage.
After receiving many requests to increase the coverage of your mandatory health insurance, Seneca has created a new insurance plan for International Students (professional and ELI). In addition to greater coverage, there is now 24-hour customer support.
All international students have mandatory health insurance included in their tuition fees while studying at Seneca College. This same requirement is applicable to international students enrolled in a Co-op term.
Current international students who become part-time students for academic or personal reasons, or stay in Canada during a four-month term break, must purchase the insurance coverage separately by visiting the International Student Centre.
If you are an international student who has a valid Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP), please contact our International Student Coordinator at email@example.com.
Health Insurance Coverage
Your health insurance includes services such as hospital and doctor services in Ontario, diagnostic laboratory and x-ray services, eye examinations, emergency services, and medically necessary dental care in hospital. The plan provides for doctor’s services, and hospital ward accommodation.
The plan also includes prescribed drugs, paramedical services (physiotherapist, psychologist, and much more), and emergency Out-of-Province/Country coverage (limited).
Family members can be added to your coverage within 30 days of your semester start by visiting www.morcare.ca directly and complete the ‘Family Opt-In’ application.
24-hour customer services support is available for any inquiry on the insurance coverage OR reporting an emergency:
