ELI Orientation

The Orientation schedule below is for English Language Institute students only. Professional program students, please click here.

Each semester, International Student Services provides a week of orientation sessions, seminars, and activities to help our arriving students feel at home and become familiar with their new environment. We look forward to seeing you each day!

 

*** TEST DAY: MONDAY, JUNE 25, 2018 ***

Note: If you have a letter of direct entry to an ELI level, you do not have to do the placement test; however, you must come to the ELI office (B4000).

ELI Placement Test - please bring your photo ID (ie. passport) to room D2000 @ 10am.

ORIENTATION

Time: 11am

  • Meet other students and staff to help you succeed
  • Discover college success tips
  • Get information on health insurance, campus jobs, activities and social events
  • Lunch to follow

 
ELI ORIENTATION

Time: 12:30pm   
Location: Room D2000

  • Get specific information about your level and your ELI classes

Wednesday, June 27

CAMPUS TOUR

Time: 10am  
Location: Room D2000

  • Enjoy highlights of services available to you on campus

Niagara falls*

Time: 10am  
Location: Room D2000

  • see the 'famous' waterfalls
  • take pictures of the many Clifton Hill attractions
  • take a ride in the Sky Wheel

Friday, June 29

ELI LAB ORIENTATION

Time: 10am
Location: B4068

  • Become familiar with your Seneca Student Centre
  • Learn the CAN-8 system required to complete your assignments
  • Set up your Seneca email

 
Get your Seneca OneCard ID

 

With this card, you will:

  • Gain internet access
  • Have email access
  • Be able to print assignments
  • Be able to photocopy
  • Become familiar with your Seneca Student Centre
  • Learn the CAN-8 system to complete lab assignments

You will need your OneCard ID to access the computers. Please bring your OneCard with you.
