ELI Orientation

The Orientation schedule below is for English Language Institute students only. Professional program students, please click here.

Each semester, International Student Services provides a week of orientation sessions, seminars, and activities to help our arriving students feel at home and become familiar with their new environment. We look forward to seeing you each day!

 

*** TEST DAY: MONDAY, AUGUST 27, 2018 ***

Note: If you have a letter of direct entry to an ELI level, you do not have to do the placement test; however, you must come to the ELI office (B4000).

ELI Placement Test - please bring your photo ID (ie. passport) to room D2000 @ 10am.

ELI PLACEMENT TEST

Time: 10:00am

  • Don't forget to bring your photo ID (i.e. passport)

Tuesday, October 23

DIRECT ENTRY CHECK-IN

  • Meet other students and staff
  • Discover college success tips
  • Get information on health insurance, campus jobs, activities and events

CAMPUS TOUR

  • See and learn about downtown Toronto
  • Discover different areas and attractions

Thursday, October 25

  
BEACH PICNIC

Time: 10am - 4pm   
Location: Room D2000 (bus leaves promptly at 10am)

  • You may want to bring a towel, blanket, sun screen, hat and sunglasses
  • BBQ lunch provided at Woodbine Beach

Friday, October 26

ELI LAB ORIENTATION

Time: 10am
Location: B4068

  • Become familiar with your Seneca Student Centre
  • Learn the CAN-8 system that you need to complete assignments

 
Get your Seneca OneCard ID

 

With this card, you will:

  • Gain internet access
  • Have email access
  • Be able to print assignments
  • Be able to photocopy
  • Become familiar with your Seneca Student Centre
  • Learn the CAN-8 system to complete lab assignments

You will need your OneCard ID to access the computers. Please bring your OneCard with you.
