Launch Your Journalism Career Today

Turn your passion for storytelling into a journalism career in today’s multiplatform environment. In this intensive 15-week program you’ll receive training in television, radio and digital journalism in our high-definition newsroom, studios and editing suites from industry accomplished instructors. You’ll graduate with a collective of advanced theoretical and practical knowledge needed to obtain a career as a multiplatform reporter, investigative journalist, specialized content writer/producer, host/anchor, or videographer/editor. You’ll also have your own online portfolio, business plan and the entrepreneurial skills to succeed in a wide range of media/related opportunities.

The program runs Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Each day begins with in-class lectures and demonstrations. You’ll be assigned daily projects that push you to develop radio, television and digital productions developed throughout the day. Mini-features will also be developed over the length of the program.

Join a growing list of graduates working with industry leaders including CBC, CP24, CTV, Sportsnet, TSN, NBC and ABC.

Maximum class size is limited to 22 people.

Along with your completed online portfolio you will receive a Seneca College certificate after graduation.

Tuition

$4,650.00 for Canadian Citizens/ Landed Immigrants. A $1,000 non-refundable deposit is required upon acceptance to the program. The remaining amount is required by May 5th, 2017.

This program is not funded by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities, therefore students are not eligible for OSAP funding.
