Seneca students Redefine Design at KoolHaus on April 11

Seneca’s Fashion Arts students show their year-end fashion collections

Toronto, April 11, 2007 --- Students in Seneca’s School of Fashion and Merchandising will show their year-end designs tonight at the College’s annual Redefining Design gala at KoolHaus (132 Queen’s Quay East at Jarvis Street).

Fashion Arts students will present more than 100 garments that display a wide variety of influences – from evening wear to street and club clothes – in a fast-paced show.

Visual Merchandising Arts students will demonstrate their prop-making, photographic, computer graphic design, illustration and trade show exhibit skills with an exciting presentation of two and three-dimensional displays.

Retail Florist students will show creations made from a variety of live flowers and plants.

“The creativity and the innovation that our students show in their year-end projects is impressive and we could not be prouder of them,” says Gitte Hansen, Chair of Seneca’s School of Fashion and Merchandising. “Redefining Design is an excellent opportunity for media and industry experts to discover the work that our students are showcasing.”

A cocktail reception for media and fashion industry starts at 5:30 p.m. with a special media and industry show at 6:30 p.m.
