Seneca College awards David Pecaut honorary degree

Toronto, October 17, 2008 --- David Pecaut, Senior Partner in the Toronto office of the Boston Consulting Group, will be presented with an honorary Bachelor of Applied Studies degree at Seneca College’s convocation.

Convocation will take place Monday, October 20, 2008, at 2 p.m. at The Toronto Centre for the Arts, 5040 Yonge Street.

David is also the voluntary Chair of the Toronto City Summit Alliance (TCSA), a diverse coalition of civic leaders whose mission is to accelerate social and economic development in the Toronto region. Through the TCSA, David has helped  to mobilize the Toronto Region Immigrant Employment Council; the Toronto Region Research Alliance, the Strong Neighbourhoods Task Force; the Task Force on Modernizing Income Security for Working Age Adults; Luminato, the Toronto Festival of Arts and Creativity; and Greening Greater Toronto. 

David has taken his passion for the community and Canada to the national level founding and co-chairing the Canadian E Business Roundtable; co-founding Career Edge, the national youth internship program; serving on the Prime Minister’s External Advisory Committee on Cities and Communities; Co-Chairing the Conference Board Roundtable on Commercialization; and serving on the Boards of Canada Basketball, The United Way of Greater Toronto, and Pathways to Education.
