Fight the flu and other viruses

Cold and flu season is here, and it helps to be prepared. Seneca has increased its disinfection procedures in all high traffic areas to reduce the risk of diseases spreading.

Here’s what you can do:

  • Wash your hands often and thoroughly through the day in warm, soapy water or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
  • Cough or sneeze into a tissue. If you don’t have a tissue, cough or sneeze into your sleeve.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth. Germs spread this way.
  • Keep common surfaces and items clean and disinfected.
  • If your symptoms get worse, call your health care provider.

If you are ill:

  • Stay at home to avoid making others sick.
  • Eat nutritious meals and drink plenty of liquids.
  • Don’t share dishes, cups/glasses, forks, spoons or knives.
  • If your symptoms get worse, call your health care provider.
