Amber Bowman wins national FireFit title

Amber Bowman is a full-time firefighter for Central York Fire Services, a graduate of Firefighter Pre-Service Education and Training and works part time for the program as a fitness instructor. As of September 19, she is also a record-breaking national champion in the annual FireFit competition.

For the last few years she has been setting records at the competition based on fire fighting tasks commonly performed in emergency situations. At this year's event, Amber not only won the National Championship, she established a new best time for women competitors — finishing the grueling course in less than two minutes.

The video, below, shows Amber (on the right) in action and setting the new record.
