Encouraging personal safety at work
More than 200 students and employees attended an interactive session about safety in the workplace at Newnham Campus. The session was led by Rob Ellis (above) and Jessica Di Sabatino, founders of MyWorkSafe - a not-for-profit organization founded after the workplace death of David Ellis. Minister of Labour, Kevin Flynn (below), and a panel of industry guests focused on inspiring young workers to stand up for their personal safety and rights while encouraging corporations to make health and safety a priority.
The session was held by the School of Global Business Management and the Work-Integrated Learning Project.
