I need to come and go through the day. What is my best option for parking?

Parking plans linked to OneCard are the only way have in-and-out access to Seneca operated parking lots. Plans are available for full-time and part-time students.

Are parking lots P1 and P3 at Newnham Campus only for employees?

During weekdays (until 5 p.m.) these lots can only be accessed by employees.

Where do I get a OneCard?

Vist the OneCard Office at King, Markham, Newnham or Seneca@York* campuses.

*The OneCard is not required for parking at Seneca@York Campus. Parking there is overseen by York University's Parking Services .

What if I have a problem at an entry/exit gate?

Should you encounter any problem with entry, exit or payment, each gate has a video camera and an intercom system. Use the "PRESS FOR ASSISTANCE" button to speak with a parking attendant. IMPORTANT: Do not backup if you encounter a problem at the gate. This could cause and accidents or injury. Use the "PRESS FOR ASSISTANCE" button.

I'm a new full-time student, what does a semester parking pass cost?

The OneCard semester plan costs $328.80 and provides unlimited in-and-out access at any Seneca operated parking lot for the duration of an individual’s parking plan.

What if I'm only parking for a few minutes?

Visit that are 20 minutes or less are free. You will need to take a ticket at the gate and when you exit, insert the same ticket to open the exit gate.

If your stay is longer than 20 minutes, you’ll have to pay the parking fee before exiting the parking lot. Fees can be paid at pay stations which accept cash and credit cards. You can also pay at the exit gate with a credit card. Payment instructions are online.

Short term parking at Newnham Campus
Short-term parking lot P2, directly north of Building A, should not be used if you are working on campus or attending classes. This area requires payment at the machine in the parking lot and the receipt to be displayed in your vehicle. The rate is $4 an hour with no daily maximum.

I already have a OneCard, can I use it to enter/exit the parking lots?

Vist a OneCard Office to see if your card is active. If it is, you should be able to use it for parking. If not, a new OneCard may be required.

Do I need to pay for the entire semester at one time if I use a OneCard?

The OneCard Daily Pass, for full-time students, and the OneCard Evening Pass, for part-time students, allow you to pay for only the days you will be parking.

I work at Seneca@York and pay for parking there, but I also teach at, or regularly travel to, other campuses. What do I do?

If you have purchased a Seneca@York parking pass you are entitled to get a OneCard parking card for any parking lot at Seneca. If you go to the OneCard office with proof of a purchased year pass for Seneca@York you'll be issued a OneCard for parking. You do not need to pay for parking at King, Markham or Newnham. The Seneca@York OneCard Office is located in the Bookstore, 416.491.5050 ext. 33100.

Is it possible to damage a OneCard?

OneCards have a very sensitive chip enabled technology which can be damaged easily. Do not punch a hole in your OneCard; put it in a safe place like you would your debit card.

What do I do if I lose my OneCard?

Immediately go to the OneCard website or the OneCard Office and deactivate your card.

The OneCard Office can then issue you a new card, for a $25 replacement fee, and link it to your account information.
