The two- to three-semester Academic Upgrading program is for those who are missing requirements for a regular postsecondary program. Upon completion, you may be ready to apply to a college-level program or enter into an apprenticeship.
The program offers you flexible scheduling with part-time and evening classes. You will work in self-paced or accelerated courses and benefit from the career counselling and assistance with college applications that you receive.
Once you have completed four advanced level subjects, including English & Communications and an Advanced Level math course, you will be eligible for the Seneca College Academic and Career Entrance (ACE) certificate. The ACE certificate is accepted as equivalent to Grade 12, and is commonly accepted by colleges across Ontario for admission to postsecondary college level programs. It is also accepted for entry into apprenticeship programs.
