Event and Media Production

Program Description

In the Event and Media Production program, you'll acquire the skills necessary to succeed in the corporate event and media production industry. Your studies will focus on presentation technologies required to operate in the competitive world of electronic communication for business and live event production.

This includes the defining of client needs, pre-production, production, post-production of audio, video and interactive presentations, as well as the fundamentals of staging, location set-up and breakdown for live event presentations and trade shows.

Start a career in corporate event and media production. Graduates of our Event and Media Production diploma program find a wide range of employment opportunities at post-production houses, staging and audio/ visual companies, training departments and media departments of corporations. Your career could include roles such as: corporate event producer, audio-visual technician, corporate video producer/editor and corporate multimedia presentation producer.

Admission Requirements

Program Eligibility

  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent with:
    • Grade 12 English: ENG4(U) or ENG4(C)
  • OR Mature Student Status (age 19 or older) with required course(s), their equivalent(s), or appropriate Academic and Career Entrance (ACE) Certificate program credits (see Academic Upgrading).

Details of how to complete and submit your applicant profile and your writing sample will be mailed shortly after we receive your application. Although not required for admission, you may prepare and submit two or three portfolio pieces such as photographs, written work, videos, audio or blogs with your profile.

Program Details

The Degree and Credit Transfer Office provides a number of services for students continuing their education at Seneca, and for graduating students considering degree transfer options.

Through transfer agreements and institution partnerships, graduates of this Seneca College program may be eligible for credit at various post-secondary institutions. Please refer to the Degree Transfer Guide for more information.

Transfer Credit may be granted for courses deemed equivalent to courses at Seneca that have been completed at recognized postsecondary institutions. Additional information is available online.
