Seneca College has a number of awards open to students in all programs, as well as a number of awards available to students in specific programs:

External Awards

Bluestacks $1000 Scholarship for Talented Students

Bluestacks is Android Emulator which helps everyone to run their Android Apps on their Windows Desktops or on Macs. Bluestacks is currently used by more than ten million people around the globe. Bluestacks App player is free to use.

Eligibility:

  • Incoming and current students enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate college program

Criteria:

  • Submit an essay about the CryptoCurrencies or Digital Marketing
  • Essay must be greater than 500 words

Eligibility:

  • College students
  • Studying in the fields of Business, Marketing, Computer Science, Communications, or IT are recommended but not required

The Support Collectors Scholarship

Support Collectors is a private child support enforcement agency that has collected millions of dollars of child support and spousal support for thousands of parents all across the nation.

Eligibility:

  • Attending any college or university full time
  • Affected by family separation, or pursuing a career that will have a positive impact on separated families

Job-Applications.ca Working Parent College Scholarship Program

Eligibility:

  • Full-time or part-time student at a Canadian post-secondary institution
  • Minimum cumulative GPA 3.0

  • Residential parent of at least one minor child
  • 18 years or older

2017 Senior Care Scholarship

A Place for Mom is proud to offer our annual $1,000 scholarship to university students interested in the fields of aging and gerontology. As the North America's largest senior living referral service, we know the importance of supporting the training and education of our future senior care leaders.

This scholarship will be awarded to a citizen or a Permanent Resident of the United States or Canada (excluding Quebec) who is enrolled and currently taking classes at an accredited college or university in the United States or Canada (excluding Quebec), and will grant selected applicants a $1000 financial donation for their compelling essays on life lessons learned from a senior.

Award Amount: $1000 awarded to five individuals.

VelvetJobs Scholarship 2017: The Employee Morale Scholarship

Eligibility:

  • Open to USA or international students
  • Entrants must be 18+ years old
  • No GPA requirement
  • University or college student

Criteria:

  • Students must write about their favourite idea on how to boost and maintain employee morale. The objective is to give students the chance to start thinking about their own potential future management position and how their decisions affect employee morale.
  • The piece should include a headline of the morale boosting idea and then should include at least 500 words on how to effectively deploy the strategy.

The Webisoft Web App Evolution Scholarship

Help Guide Scholarship

At HelpGuide, we believe that volunteer involvement is an integral part of a strong and prosperous community. To encourage this value, we've decided to reward a college or university student who demonstrates outstanding volunteer involvement in their community.

2017 McKiggan Hebert Lawyers End Distracted Driving Scholarship

Eligibility:

  • Currently enrolled at or accepted at a college, or university in Canada

The Living City Leaders Scholarships

The mission of The Living City® Foundation is to raise funds for the initiatives undertaken by Toronto and Region Conservation (TRCA), especially for The Living City® program. Established in 1961, the Foundation has raised more than $40 million for conservation work in the Greater Toronto Area.

Eligibility:

  • Living in or attending post-secondary education in TRCA's jurisdiction
  • Degree or diploma program that relates to the work of TRCA

  • 500 word essay outlining how you demonstrate the values of The Living City - where human settlement can flourish forever as part of nature's beauty and diversity.

Healthcare Leadership Scholarship

This is awarded to the most deserving students who are pursuing their degree in healthcare. It is a merit-based scholarship awarded every spring and fall to help students pay for the expenses of their online or campus based education. These scholarships will be awarded to any student that is currently enrolled in undergraduate, graduate or Doctorate level programs. Students who are currently enrolled in qualified healthcare related programs are encouraged to apply. Students can only apply once in any 12-month period.

You must be enrolled in a 4 year health related program if you are not you will need to be enrolled before you apply.

2016-2017 Essay Question:

If you could change one thing about our health care system, what would it be and why? (Must be 800-1000 words) 

Criteria:

  • GPA (min 3.2 on a 4.0 scale)

AAA Credit Guide Scholarship

AAACreditGuide.com provides free personal finance information for consumers about credit repair, credit scores, and personal loans. AAA Credit Guide is committed to helping college students achieve their academic goals without taking on overly burdensome debt in the process. AAA Credit Guide is offering an annual scholarship to all students currently attending Seneca College.

Eligibility:

  • Enrolled full-time in an undergraduate program 
  • Minimum cumulative GPA 2.5
  • Previous winners are not eligible to apply

Criteria:

  • Eligible students must submit a written essay on the following topic: “Why is credit important to your future and how have you worked to achieve your own good credit?” 
  • The essay must be a minimum of 800 words.
