These organizations are not affiliated with Seneca, we do not endorse any of these awards and recommend that you do your due diligence before apply for these awards or giving information to a third party.


Second Chance Scholarship Foundation Inc. is an organization devoted to providing assistance to youth who have come in conflict with the law or are disadvantaged youth at-risk for such and who show strong potential and motivation for completing post-secondary school education.

We are now accepting application for the 2018 award season, please download your 2018 TGF Application. The deadline of submission is Friday, July 6th, 2018.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Be a Canadian Citizen or Landed Immigrant with a permanent physical disability
  • Reside in the province of Ontario
  • Be enrolled in a program at an Ontario University that is a member of Universities Canada or one of Ontario's 24 Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology for the 2018/19 academic year
  • Be a Grade 12 student in the province of Ontario, or a student already enrolled in a post-secondary program and looking to advance to either year 2, 3, 4 on wards.
  • Demonstrate a strong academic record
  • Demonstrate a need for financial assistance

Giatec Scientific Inc., today's leader in smart concrete technologies, is excited to announce the launch of an annual essay-writing contest that could help civil engineering students pay for their studies with a cash reward of $1000 for the winning article.

The "Giatec Award for Best Paper" is open to both undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in civil engineering programs across Canada and the U.S. Interested students can submit either an expository essay or a previously published article that relates to their field of study (civil engineering).

The Synergize Scholarship Fund is an annual scholarship granted to students attending a Canadian post-secondary educational institution. The scholarship is a $1000 award granted to the applicant who best exemplifies Microdea's Core Values in their community.

Applicants can be in any field of study towards the completion of a post-secondary certificate or diploma.

Tacuna Systems is excited to announce our new "Women in Engineering Empowerment Scholarship". Women are still very much under-represented in STEM fields both in higher education and in industry. Eligibility: The Working Parent College Scholarship Program is open to any person who:

  • Is a full or part-time student who is in an accredited Canadian post-secondary educational institution (including, but not limited to, college, university or trade school, or similarly accredited program) with a current cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher at that institution; and
  • Has worked an aver

Requirements: 600 to 1000 word essay: Discuss your experience as a parent working your way through school and explain three pieces of advice you would give to someone in a similar situation.

The Dirk Derrick Car & Truck Accident Injury Scholarship is an award for any current or soon-to-be undergrad who has had his or her life altered due to an injury from a car or truck accident, be it their own injury, that of a loved one, or an influential individual. The Dirk Derrick Scholarship has a brief submission process, and applicants will be judged on their ability to convey the lasting effect an auto accident has had on their life as well as their journey to overcome those challenges.
